Ultraviolette Introduces Free Software Update for F77 Electric Motorcycle
Ultraviolette pushes free update to F77 electric motorcycle: What’s new
Ultraviolette has updated its F77 electric motorcycle with a performance update called the Gen3 Powertrain Firmware. This update is unique as it enhances the bike's performance solely through software, without any hardware changes. What's even more impressive is that this update, including the new Ballistic+ mode, is available free of charge for all existing F77 owners. At the core of this update is the Ballistic+ feature, which provides a more responsive throttle response, giving the F77 a livelier feel and quicker acceleration. Despite maintaining the same peak output figures of 40 hp and 100 Nm of torque, riders can expect a sharper and more engaging riding experience. What sets this upgrade apart is its intelligent system powered by Violette A.I. This connected software system learns from rider behavior by analyzing data from over 8 million km of on-road usage worldwide. By understanding how riders accelerate, brake, and interact with the bike on different road conditions, the system continuously optimizes performance through the Ballistic+ mode. The Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) of the F77 plays a crucial role in this enhancement by processing over 3,000 data points in real time. It dynamically adjusts the motor controller, drivetrain, and battery management system, resulting in a more responsive motorcycle without any hardware modifications. Additionally, battery capacities remain unchanged at 7.1 kWh for the Mach 2 and 10.3 kWh for the Mach 2 Recon, with no changes to range figures. The best part is that this Gen3 firmware update is backward-compatible, ensuring that both early adopters and recent buyers can enjoy this upgrade at no cost.
