Shravan Putrada Ekadashi 2025: Significance

For Hindus, Shravana Putrada Ekadashi holds great importance as it is a day to honor Lord Vishnu with utmost devotion. Devotees worship Lord Krishna, another form of Lord Vishnu, on this auspicious day and offer prayers to him during the four months (Chaturmas) when Lord Vishnu is believed to be resting in Ksheer Sagar. Putrada Ekadashi is observed during Chaturmaas.

Putrada Ekadashi Vrat is specifically observed by married couples who desire a son but are unable to conceive. The fast is undertaken with great commitment and purity, seeking blessings from Lord Vishnu, who is believed to fulfill the wishes of those who follow this fast.

Devotees who observe Shravana Putrada Ekadashi fast are also blessed with joy, health, prosperity, wealth, and success. Lord Vishnu protects all devotees who worship him with unwavering faith and good intentions, without any restrictions based on age, gender, or religion.

Shravan Putrada Ekadashi 2025: Puja Rituals

1. Early morning, devotees wake up and take a bath.

2. To observe the fast diligently, one must take a sankalp.

3. Set up an idol of Lord Krishna, light a lamp, offer flowers, panchamrit, tulsi leaves, fruits, and sweets.

4. In the evening, before sunset, offer bhog prasad to Lord Krishna during puja. Recite Vishnu Sahastranaam, Shri Hari Stotram, Krishna Maha Mantra, and Lord Vishnu's aarti.

5. After the evening puja, those unable to fast can eat food permitted for the fast and break the fast on dwadashi tithi during parana time.

6. Offerings like fruits, dairy products, fried potatoes, and rock salt should be satvik in the bhog prasad.

7. Distribute the prasad among all family members.

8. Seek blessings by visiting Lord Krishna's shrine.

9. The next day, offer prayers to Lord Krishna before breaking the fast.

The frauds occurred between 2019 and 2025. Cops are yet to ascertain details of the fifth case.
