Prerna Gill: A Unique Path Away from Bollywood

Dharmendra's granddaughter, Prerna Gill, daughter of Vijeta Gill, has distinguished herself as a writer and editor, publishing four books, including a recent poetry collection. Residing in Delhi with her husband, lawyer Pulkit Devda, she maintains close ties with her uncles, Sunny, Bobby, and Abhay Deol, and cousin Karan, while carving a unique path outside the film industry.

While most star kids are drawn to the glitz of Bollywood, Dharmendra's stunning granddaughter has taken a refreshingly different path. Loved by Sunny and Bobby Deol, she's quietly making her mark in a world far removed from cinema.

Who is Prerna Gill?

Meet Prerna Gill, Dharmendra's granddaughter who chose a life away from the limelight. She is the daughter of Vijeta Gill, Dharmendra's second daughter. Much like her mother, Prerna has stayed away from the film industry, carving her own path and making a name for herself in a completely different field.

A flourishing literary career

Prerna Gill is a well-known writer and editor, with four published books to her name. She made her literary debut in 2015, and her latest work—a poetry collection titled Meanwhile—was released in January 2025. While the rest of the Deol family shines in cinema and entertainment, Prerna has charted her own creative path and found remarkable success in the world of literature. Prerna Gill shares a warm and affectionate bond with her uncles—Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, and Abhay Deol—and is especially close to her cousin Karan Deol. Her social media is filled with heartfelt moments and family snapshots that reflect her deep connection with the Deol clan. Sunny and Bobby have even supported and promoted her books, making it clear that Prerna is not just respected for her talent, but also deeply loved by her mamas.

A quiet life in Delhi

Prerna Gill is happily married to Pulkit Devda, a prominent lawyer based in Delhi. The couple tied the knot in 2017 and now lives in the capital. Prerna often shares glimpses of her life with Pulkit on social media, along with cherished moments spent with her parents and grandmother. A regular at family gatherings, she was also seen at cousin Karan Deol's wedding celebrations, where she won hearts with her elegance and simplicity. Among the few star kids who've chosen to stay away from Bollywood's glare, Prerna Gill truly stands out. With her creative flair and intellectual pursuits, she has built a quiet yet powerful identity—one marked by grace, depth, and a strong sense of individuality.
