Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has unveiled two fresh motorcycles for the entry-level motorcycle segment in India. The new models are the CB125 Hornet and the Shine 100 DX. Bookings for both models start on August 1, 2025. Here's a quick overview of what each model offers.
Honda CB125 Hornet: Key Highlights
Starting with the CB125 Hornet, it is a sporty 125cc bike with a sharp design and youthful color options. Notable features include twin-LED headlamps, high-mounted indicators, and a sculpted fuel tank with aggressive tank shrouds. In terms of technology, the CB125 Hornet is equipped with a 4.2-inch TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity, and support for the Honda RoadSync app, providing navigation, call/SMS alerts, and music playback through the rider's headset.
Performance-wise, the Hornet's 123.94cc single-cylinder engine delivers 11 hp at 7,500 rpm and 11.2 Nm at 6,000 RPM. It comes with a 5-speed gearbox and can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in just 5.4 seconds, making it the fastest in its segment. The bike also features gold-colored USD forks, a mono-shock rear unit, tubeless tires on sporty alloys, and a front disc brake with rear drum brakes supported by single-channel ABS. The CB125 Hornet is available in four color options, including dual-tone combinations.
Honda Shine DX: Key Highlights
On the practical side, Honda introduced the Shine 100 DX, an upgraded version of its commuter motorcycle. The Shine 100 DX retains the familiar Shine silhouette but comes with added features and a refreshed appearance.
The Shine 100 DX features an LCD instrument cluster displaying real-time mileage, distance to empty, and service reminders. Safety is enhanced with a side-stand engine cut-off. Powered by a 98.98cc single-cylinder engine producing 7.28 hp and 8.04 Nm, paired with a 4-speed gearbox. Visually, the Shine 100 DX sports updated body graphics, a sculpted fuel tank, chrome accents, and an all-black engine and grab rail. It is offered in four stylish color options.
