The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) has announced the detailed schedule for Round 2 of the UG counselling process for 2025, specifically for HKR (Hyderabad-Karnataka Region) and KKR (Karnataka-Kannada Residents) category candidates. The full schedule has been published on the official website, comedk.org, and the portal for choice filling will go live from August 7, 2025.

Eligibility for COMEDK round 2 choice filling

As per the notification, the Round 2 choice filling is exclusively open to KKR category candidates under the following conditions:

  • Those who opted for "Accept & Upgrade" or "Reject & Upgrade" in Round 1.
  • Candidates from the KKR pool who were not allotted a seat in the first round.

The official guidelines specify that candidates can add, delete, or reorder their choices during this period. However, any seat already allotted in Round 1 will appear in green and cannot be selected again.

Seat allotment and reporting timeline

The Round 2 seat allotment results will be available on the COMEDK portal from 2 PM on August 12 to 12 NOON on August 16, 2025. Those who are allotted a seat in this round must report to the allotted institution by 3 PM on August 16.

Candidates also have the option to cancel seats allotted in Round 1 during the same window (from August 12 to August 16, 5 PM), but this facility is restricted to KKR category candidates only.
