Rakshit Shetty: From Co-stars to Exes in Kannada Cinema

Rakshit Shetty, a well-known actor from the Kannada film industry. Fans once rooted for his romance with actress Rashmika Mandanna, but the two eventually parted ways after getting engaged. In an interview with IndiaGlitz Telugu, Rakshit shared that they still maintain a respectful connection.

Staying in Touch with Rashmika

Though they don't talk regularly, Rakshit revealed that he and Rashmika make it a point to wish each other well when their films release. They also exchange birthday greetings, keeping a warm and respectful bond alive even after their breakup.

Duo's journey from co-stars to exes

Rakshit and Rashmika first met while working together on the hit film 'Kirik Party'. Their on-screen chemistry soon turned into a real-life relationship. The couple got engaged in a private ceremony in Virajpet on July 3, 2017. However, they mutually decided to end their engagement in September 2018, citing compatibility issues.

At 40, Rakshit Shetty has become one of the most respected names in the Kannada film industry. He's not just a talented actor but also a writer, filmmaker, and producer. Over the years, he has earned several prestigious awards, including a National Film Award, two Karnataka State Film Awards, and five SIIMA Awards. Rakshit began his acting journey with Namm Areal Ond Dina in 2010. However, it was his 2014 film Ulidavaru Kandanthe that made him a household name. He continued to shine in movies like 'Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu' (2015), 'Kirik Party' (2016), 'Avane Srimannarayana' (2019), and '777 Charlie' (2021) — with '777 Charlie' becoming the biggest hit of his career.

HYDERABAD: Gopalapuram police have registered five new cases against the head of Srushti Fertility Clinic Dr Athaluri Namratha alias Pachipala Namratha, and others based on complaints lodged by five sets of victims. While in one case a couple alleged that the doctor handed them a baby whose DNA did not match theirs, three other couples accused the clinic of adopting dubious methods. They claimed that they had already paid the money â anywhere from Rs 12.5 lakh to Rs 19 lakh â and even deposited their biological samples when they grew suspicious about the operations of Dr Namratha and her clinic. The frauds occurred between 2019 and 2025. Cops are yet to ascertain details of the fifth case.
